Stirling will be the focal point of tourism industry as Visit Scotland showcase the events happening in 2014. It's designed to inspire and inform by highlighting practical information, with ideas on how to get involved and collaborate with others.

Stirling.co.uk representatives will be attending to be inspired and informed, and looking to collaborate.

If any stakeholders, large or small, would like to collaborate or help with the creation of digital content on Stirling.co.uk on the run up to 2014 and beyond, please email stirling@mytownonvideo.co.uk

2014 will see two of the world’s largest events take place in Scotland, The Ryder Cup and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. It will also be the year of the return of Homecoming Scotland.

Furthermore, anniversaries like the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn; the 100th anniversary of John Muir’s death; and National Armed Forces Day all add up to a significant focus on Scotland in 2014, and Stirling in particular.

Visit Scotland have organised the conference in Stirling to help raise awareness of the opportunities presented throughout next year, when Scotland welcomes the world, and are delighted to host an event designed specifically for the tourism industry.

The event will include a range of sessions from speakers representing the key 2014 events as well as inspirational case studies and breakout sessions to help the industry take full advantage of the opportunities arising from Scotland hosting the Ryder Cup, Commonwealth Games and Homecoming Scotland.

It’s an event for all sectors of the industry and aims to inspire and inform by highlighting information about the key 2014 events, ways to get involved and encourage collaboration opportunities.
